Japan Earthquake Come 'hits' Nokia

Jakarta - One by one the global electronics companies began to worry about the impact of Japan's earthquake and tsunami on their production activities. This time with Nokia's turn natural disasters in the country estimate that Sakura will disrupt supply some products.

Nokia hopes this is not to have a significant impact on the acquisition of profits in the first three months of this year. Anticipating the worst, the largest mobile phone maker in the world started looking for alternative sources of supply components for its product.

"Although there is no clear picture, Nokia estimates that some disruption to the availability of units 'Devices & Services' to supply a number of products, due to lack of components and raw materials from Japan who were hit the electronics industry today," Nokia said in a statement.

Reported by Reuters and quoted on Tuesday (22/03/2011), analysts estimate, Nokia could be affected is greater than any other mobile phone vendors, is associated with the component supply problems from Japan.

"So many phones it sells, indicating the possibility of Nokia is more vulnerable to unexpected disruption in the supply of components," said Ben Wood, analyst at CCS Insight.
